What a day! We finally got the display set up for the art tour – a little late – but better late than never. And then we had a pretty decent turnout, considering we’re a little off the beaten path. Very exciting. And now we just have three more days of the tour to survive in the Texas heat.
Actually, the weather wasn’t too bad, and I got a lot of polishing done on my swords and made some good progress with my latest dijeridoo. My daughter even tried her hand at the grinder, polishing one of my swords in progress.
And I had a lot of fun talking to all sorts of folks and teaching them some interesting bits of history. Viking swords, atlatls, halberds, the Celtic spatha, the dijeridoo… Does it get any better than that?
